Kansas

I found myself with three new lenses, a fairly new van and a few days off. It was time to make an overdue trip to visit my friends Reilly and Jenica in Lawrence Kansas. Their dog Bingo was a perfect model for my 16-35mm. Dogs look hilarious with a wide-angle lens. Just like our house there are some leftover jack-o-lanterns on the porch, perfect targets for my new 100mm macro.
I spent an afternoon visiting the art museum and the natural history museum on the campus there. When Reilly and Jenica got off work we went to a huge dog park with Bingo. As the sun set I pulled the old silky waterfall trick.
A major part of the trip for me was going to the Alamo Draft House theatre in Kansas City. Before the movie we checked out The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and Union Station as well as the World War I Memorial.
