Exploring Around CanmoreExploring Around CanmoreOur third day in Canada was the first of two in Canmore. We talked about going to Calgary but I thought it would be more fun to see the nature than the city. Instead we decided to drive down highway 40 just looking for interesting spots.
Every time I go anywhere with moose I am lucky to see one. I saw two this day. The first one was just hanging out in a pond as moose often do. I got excited and laid on the shutter. Wound up with enough pics to make a little
Moosvie from the stills. When we saw the second one I didn’t even ask, Dad looked down, his new 300mm lens was already on my camera and I was out the door. This second moose was not cooperating. She was too deep in the brush. Even when you can’t get a good shot these creatures are amazing to watch, like a baby dinosaur crashing through the forest. Later in the day we got a flat tire out in the middle of the park. We had no cell signal but that was no problem I’ve changed plenty of tires and Dad was thrilled to have me there to do it. I created a timelapse of the process with my gopro while Dad found some great photographs right there where we were stranded. I got the donut bolted on and we were off.
